ARTIST STATEMENT?
To not follow the rules. To make people smile.
I am a mostly self-taught artist residing in a small town in SW Kansas. My husband Lynn and I reside with three very furry cats named CC, Sas and Gizmo.
I do a variety of subjects including pet portrait, commission work, some Native American and Western art, and lots of animal life. Animals captured my heart when I was a child - that is my love. I experiment with different mediums using pencil, pen & ink, colored pencil, and watercolor. The enjoyment I find through my work is in making people smile and giving them lasting memories of their loved ones. Young or old, people need uplifted with positive and colorful pieces. It makes my life brighter when I see smiles light up their faces.
